Why it works:
Epsom salt a.k.a. magnesium sulfate, is an ideal additive to a hot soaking bath. Soaking in epsom salt is an ideal way to incorporate more magnesium into the body. Magnesium is involved in many functions of the body, including regulation or inhibition of nerve receptors, which are closely related to RLS. Magnesium sulfate can be absorbed through the skin directly into the bloodstream to help muscle tissue relax.

How it works:
Add two cups of epsom salt and half cup of baking soda to hot bath water and soak in it for half hour. Alternatively, you can add half cup of epsom salt to a large pan of hot water and soak your legs and feet in it for 30 minutes.
