Tea tree oil has powerful antiviral properties which helps heal shingles naturally. Its anesthetic properties also reduce pain associates with shingles. It also has antibacterial and antiseptic properties that prevent infection.

Clove essential oil has anti-fungal, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. One of its components, eugenol, has anti-pain properties which help relieve nerve pain.

How it works:
To use geranium essential oil: Mix a few drops of geranium essential oil with a little coconut oil and rub it gently to the affected area.

To use tea tree oil: Apply diluted tea tree oil to the affected area with a cotton ball three times a day. Do a patch test by applying the diluted oil to the inside of your forearm to make sure it does not cause allergic reaction to your skin. Start with one part of tea tree oil with two part of water and gradually increase the concerntration.

To use clove oil: Mix clove oil with equal amount of olive oil and apply it on the affected area with a cotton ball.
