Common cold, also known simply as a cold, is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract that primarily affects the nose. The throat, sinuses, and voice box may also be affected. Symptoms of a common cold usually appear one to three days after exposure to a cold-causing virus. They may include running nose, stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, congestion, sneezing. Sometimes there may be mild headache or very slight fever.
